A pageview is defined as a view of a page on your site that is being tracked by the Analytics tracking code. If a user clicks reload after reaching the page, this is counted as an additional pageview. If a user navigates to a different page and then returns to the original page, a second pageview is recorded as well.
A session is a group of interactions that take place on your website within a given time frame. For example a single session can contain multiple screen or page views, events, social interactions, and ecommerce transactions.
Page Views Per Session
The total number of page views divided by the total number of sessions for a given period.
Bounce rate is the percentage of single page visits (or web sessions). It is the number of visits in which a person leaves your website from the landing page without browsing any further.
Average Session Duration
Average session duration is: total duration of all sessions (in seconds) / number of sessions.
Individual session duration is calculated differently depending on whether there are engagement hits on the last page of a session.
